AT&T Stadium — What to Know

StadiumAT&T Stadium
LocationArlington, TX (between Dallas & Fort Worth)
Capacity80,000 (expandable to 105,000)
SurfaceNatural grass (installed for World Cup)
Opened2009
Notable FeatureWorld's largest domed stadium

The World's Largest Video Board

AT&T Stadium's center-hung HD video board is 160 feet wide and 72 feet tall — the largest in the world at the time it was built. You will not miss a replay.

Natural Grass for the World Cup

AT&T Stadium normally uses artificial turf for the Dallas Cowboys. FIFA requires natural grass, so the stadium will install a temporary grass pitch — the same system used at other World Cup venues.

Texas Heat Warning

Dallas in June and July averages 95–100°F (35–38°C). The stadium is air-conditioned, but the walk from parking/transit will be brutal. Hydrate aggressively and wear light clothing.

Getting to AT&T Stadium

✈️ From DFW Airport

  • 1.Take DART Rail Orange Line from DFW Terminal A/B
  • 2.Transfer at CentrePort/DFW station to Trinity Railway Express (TRE)
  • 3.Ride TRE to 'Stadium' station in Arlington
  • 4.Walk 10 minutes to AT&T Stadium
  • 5.Total time: ~45–60 minutes, ~$5
💡 The TRE runs special event service on match days. Check DART's website for World Cup schedules.

✈️ From Dallas Love Field (DAL)

  • 1.Take DART Rail Orange or Blue Line from Love Field
  • 2.Transfer to TRE at Union Station in downtown Dallas
  • 3.Ride TRE to 'Stadium' station
  • 4.Walk 10 minutes to AT&T Stadium
  • 5.Total time: ~50–70 minutes
💡 Love Field is closer to downtown Dallas hotels — a good base if you're staying in the city.

🚗 Rideshare (Uber/Lyft)

  • 1.From downtown Dallas: ~25–35 minutes, $25–45
  • 2.From DFW Airport: ~20–30 minutes, $30–50
  • 3.Designated rideshare pickup/dropoff zones at stadium
  • 4.Surge pricing is extreme on match days — book early
💡 Set your pickup point to 'AT&T Stadium Rideshare Lot' — the standard address causes confusion with drivers.

🅿️ Driving & Parking

  • 1.Stadium address: 1 AT&T Way, Arlington, TX 76011
  • 2.Official parking lots open 4 hours before kickoff
  • 3.Parking: $30–$60 depending on lot and match
  • 4.Arrive 2+ hours early — traffic is severe on match days
💡 Arlington has no public transit of its own — it's a car-dependent city. If you're not taking TRE, plan for significant traffic.

Dallas Matchday Survival Tips

🌡️

Beat the Heat

Dallas in summer is brutal. Wear moisture-wicking clothing, bring a small portable fan, and stay hydrated. The stadium is air-conditioned but the walk from transit/parking is not.

🎟️

Ticket Reality Check

Dallas is hosting the most matches of any city. Semifinal tickets will be among the most expensive in the entire tournament — expect $500–$2,000+ face value for the semi.

🏨

Book Hotels Now

Arlington itself has limited hotel options. Stay in Dallas (Uptown, Downtown, or near the Galleria) and use TRE to get to the stadium. Book 6+ months out.

🚌

Skip the Car

Arlington's roads were not designed for 80,000 people leaving at the same time. TRE train is genuinely the best option — it drops you 10 minutes from the stadium.

📱

Download DART App

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) tickets are on the GoPass app. Download and load money before match day — lines at ticket machines are long.

🌍

International Fan Zones

Dallas has a large Latin American fan community. Expect incredible atmosphere for any South American team matches. The city will be electric for the Semifinal regardless of who's playing.
